Those wheels are “on point”, as the kids would say. But seriously they look fantastic on that car.
BmanUltima's car still hasn't been fixed yet, he'll get on it tomorrow, honest.

Not yet. Car needs clear coat bad, especially on the front/rear bumpers. Waiting to do that, people suck around here.

Have you had a chance to do a dyno pull with the car yet? I’m really curious to see what the poop is with that engine.

Not yet. Still have to do break in after the exhaust is hooked up. Open headers spooks the knock sensors on the dyno lol!

DOSS FF1s. I’ve had others ask if they were a specific BBS wheel. Relatively new wheel

Wow just realized that’s about how long I’ve owned my F-body too. Looks really nice and I thought it was repainted but saw you said it wasn’t in the comments.
Love the CTS-v brakes. Were they relatively hard to do? And those rims really do work well with them

Ahh, yes. too close to an open exhaust will cause havoc

Yeah, last time I dyno’d it like that on the old heads/cam setup, it kept getting false knock at random spots.

Thanks, I’ve actually owned it since winter of 2002. We’ve been through a lot together. Didn’t start modding it until after I paid it off. Some sage advice my dad gave me, “Don’t put mod money into something that the bank still owns.”
The CTS-V brakes weren’t too hard:
The fronts require the bolt holes on the spindles to be opened up a smidge on a drill press, and run some washers to properly space the brake calipers.
The rotors need to have the hubs opened up on a good lathe to fit over the f-body hubs.
The rears use an adapter bracket from
A.I. Engineering
, you can either get just the bracket or the whole kit or some range in between. I got the bracket, backing plates w/ parking brake and cables then sourced everything else for a lower cost through outlets like amazon, ebay and ls1tech.
To do my best to counteract pad knockback, I installed a whole new set of axles, bearings and differential to tighten it all up as much as possible. It more than likely will still be present and I’ll fine tune the brake pads to help cut down on axle tramp under braking, something the ABS might actually make worse, we’ll see under testing.

Yep great advice. Main reason my past two cars have been used and bought without the bank.
Thats not too bad, sounds like a weekend project. Als it’s hast to 18" rims too right? I heard 17s are too close

These are 19x9.5, the 18's I wanted to get wouldn’t clear the brakes around the spokes :( But they offered me these on a great introductory price since they were trying to get them out there and people snapping pics w/ them on the car.
I’m gonna try and get some 18's for track duty though so I can run some good tires without worrying about trashing my street tires.
